Lovely story!
How did I get here?

I never dreamed of being a farmer. Growing up I wanted to be a nurse. My grandma was a nurse and so were both of my aunts. They were amazing at what they did, and I wanted to care for people just like they did. In my late twenties I was struggling to continue college, raise a son as a single mother and working two jobs. I fell in love and married a crop farmer. We bought a farm and things began to change quickly. Suddenly I was raising calves behind our house in 40 wooded huts. I searched the internet trying to learn and understand what I was doing.
I was on a mission to be the very best calf raiser! This all started in 2008. Looking back now I can see how much I have grown as a person, how much this life has changed me. I am incredibly grateful for the people who have helped me along the way and the friendships I have made. We now house around 900 head all under the age of 5 months old and have a small cow calf herd. We continue to raise dairy heifers for dairies.  We also raise our own freezer beef from our cow calf herd.

These days I truly believe I am here to do a job God placed me here to do. I care for, love and respect all our animals as individuals. My goals are to give the animals the very best life I can give them. I feel if I do that then we will be rewarded in ways that most will not understand.
It’s very simple…If you feed them well, they will grow! If you keep them dry and warm or cool they will stay healthy! If you doctor them before they are too sick with disease they will recover! If you treat them right they will give back what you put in.
